Regionally; San Antonio and South/Central Texas; state and federal experience includes approximately 120 civil jury trials, civil litigation involving medical and hospital, business and commercial, stock brokerage, public transportation and trucking liability; construction, civil rights, employment, contracts, consumer (DTPA), product, drug and medical device, real estate and title insurance, personal injury, tort and family law. Representation of clients in the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the Military (criminal); and various Texas Appeals Courts; MDL case counsel (mass tort, pharmaceutical, medical device and product litigation).
Alternative Dispute Resolution Experience
Five years as Mediator, since Credentialing Mediation, as provided for in the Texas Alternative Dispute Resolution Procedures Act. (Tex. Civ. Prac. & Rem. Code §154.052) at the University of Houston Law Center Blakely Advocacy Institute and Family Law Training. Completed 2012. Past service: Western District of Texas’ attorney arbitration panel for non-binding ADR (mini-trials); currently on federal approved registry of neutrals. In 2007, appointed as hearing officer for City of San Antonio Transportation Division licensure appeals. Completed Arbitrator training with and current Panel Member with Conflict Solutions of Texas; Panel Member with University Health System Hospital Construction Project; Volunteer Mediator for Bexar County Alternative Dispute Resolution Center. Twenty years advocating for litigating parties at mediation in all fields of practice, with hundreds of successful mediations. Occasional voluntary or mandated arbitration experience.
